PL And HERO Brawl over Final HED-GP Timer

The battle over the final timer for the HED-GP IHUB that was coming out of reinforced, PL was ready, as was HERO.  HERO was able to set dozens of bubbles on field around the PL forces as they landed on gird.  Locking them down so the HERO caps and their massive subcap force could engage.

The initial PL force was comprised mostly of Navy Apocs and triage carriers. The typical large numbers of subcaps fielded by HERO brought overwhelming force against PL, meaning they lost several triage carriers and had to try and withdraw to reorganize for a short time.  Especially after losing nearly 50 Navy Apocs.

Yet another massive battle in WH Space (J150020)

In a somewhat unexpected turn of events, HK, QEX, and other regular fixtures of wormhole shenanigans were involved in a fight which destroyed over 130 Billion ISK.  With the loss of 54 T3,s and multiple dreads and carriers means that HK and their allies had taken quite a heavy hit.

From what I could see HK had spent most of the previous days RF'ing towers in holes to secure a foothold in a certain area of WH space.  Along with the obvious intent of trying to find some fights.  And targeted the home system of NOHO close to DT.

To quote reddit user NoobmanHK:

Man talk about adrenaline. They logged and landed all around us. I burned downed a Moros with my 2 dreads. Over heating guns and reps. Died with both. Then logged in Noobman. Warped down to ForgetmyFace and started blaring primaries. I was switching fast as shit trying to wear their triage pilots out. Managed to snag a couple T3's kills under idk how many triage. Everyone one was dying around me.
Was fun
Way to catch us with our pants down after spending 7 hours Rf'ing 57 towers. haha our dudes were just about to go to bed.

The primary opposition against HK and it's allies was NOHO, being a quite well known WH alliance were able to deal quite the blow to HK.  Although given the jovial attitudes about the fight from those involved, the losses were well worth the fun.

Over the past few weeks, No Holes Barred had held suspicions of hostiles moving capitals into their wormhole, with the disappearance of wormholes at inopportune times, and directional scans that showed dreads on long range occasionally, but could not fully pin their suspicions down. Yet, on Friday at approximitely 04:16 server time, the veil was lifted, revealing that the groups E X P L O S I O N, Lazerhawks, and Hard Knocks as well had built up a sizable capital presence inside of the hole without NoHo realizing it, and began to lay siege to the entire system. The size of their forces was around a hundred and twenty five subcaps, with the primary purpose of maintaining of hole control, and eighteen capitals as well, mostly dreads and the like.

NoHo, who had barely fourteen people on at the time, chose to draw first blood by using Tornados to quickly pop a hostile Tengu before getting down to business, evacuating assets out of the POSes into external containers over the course of a few hours. Within seven hours, they had completed their initial goal of safeguarding their assets, during which, the hostile forces had been working steadily on reinforcing the dozens of POSes that had locked down the moons in the system. Also during this time, the dread group had split into two entities to better coordinate and reinforce the POSes around system while sixty of the subcaps maintained hole control. The NoHo capital and subcapital group under the command of Faye Fantastic and Sibasomos, sensing an opportunity, made the decision to utilize buffer fit dreadnaughts and go in to engage the targets.

No Holes Barred warped their capitals into the hostile fleet at one of the planets, engaging the dreadnaughts on land; the subcapitals of Hard Knocks and E X P L O S I O N attempted to return and engage the NoHo forces, supported by allies in Exit Strategy.., but were stopped bubbles which put them 110km off of their trapped dreads. Hostile forces attempted to send their other capitals in to support their trapped ones, but by the time they and the subcapitals made it down to where the first half of the cap fleet was, they were dead, leading to a wholesale slaughter of a lot of the remaining Hard Knocks and E X P L O S I ON ships.

While No Holes Barred secured the engagement handily, they don’t seem to harbor much animosity against the attempted evictors, expressing enjoyment for the goodfights that they had as well as mentioning that there would always “be rivalry” between the groups involved. Others, however, on Eve-ru. were less enthused, and angrily wrote posts about the fight that they participated in.

LAWN and other CFC alliances get into a scuffle with the Legions.

LAWN was spotted moving freighters taking gates with support of 5 mighty frigates from k-6. Cynos were moved, but didn't make it in time to catch them with all the loots inside.

When cyno got into system he witnessed Freighters warping from station to a gate. Cyno was lit, bubbles went up and the rest is history

In the system of Y-2ANO A combined force of RAZOR, Get off My Lawn and otrhers went head to head with Pandemic Legion, Black Legion, DARKNESS. and others in a squabble that started while LAWN was moving assets through the system.

In a mixture of good timing and skill, the anti-CFC forces were able to  wipe a portion of CFC forces from the grid   Although the actual ISK losses were minimal due to the fact that most of the ships lost were frigates and only a few transports got caught up in the trap.  Nearly 5 Billion ISK worth of assets were destroyed in the overall battle.  Still a hefty blow, but nothing too serious for the CFC overall.

KIllFails 1: MLU Thanatos

Around 1830 EvE time on the 23rd October 2014, a Thanatos Carrier belonging to Thorncord, CEO of the BOX of PANDORA, was destroyed in wormhole space by a small group of mining ships, including 2 Coveters, 15 Ventures and a couple of industrials.

km

As you can see, the Thanatos is not exactly fit to what we would call ‘correct’ specifications. I’m not quite sure what the Mining Laser Upgrade I’s were meant to accomplish with no mining lasers on the ship. Maybe he thought they would affect his 20 mining drones? The only drones he happened to be carrying.

Strangely AXIOS., the alliance that managed to snag this kill in what is undoubtedly a solely PVP fit ‘mining fleet’ also declined to comment. However the fact that they were grinding POS structures in the same wormhole just hours before points to the fact that this Thanatos may have been caught on log in to a previously friendly, and now missing, POS.

Here is what is going on in my imagination when trying to figure out how this kill happened.

An AXIOS hauler may have been scooping POS modules and happened to have a PVP fit, maybe a scram and tank. When the Thanatos landed, the hauler pilot got tackle and called in his friends, telling them he was in a hauler with a tackle on a carrier.

The FC decided, for comedic value, to get the rest of his fleet to ship into battle ventures and a couple of coveters. He then jumped them in and killed the Thanatos. Considering it was totally unable to tank or defend itself, why not? This is all pure conjecture of course so take it with a whole lick of salt.

I don’t think it was a planned roam due to the fact that no other kills, or indeed losses were noted. Also as mentioned above, the AXIOS group were attacking POS in the system mere hours earlier.
Whatever happened, it has made for a very entertaining kill mail.

SOLAR Nyx killed in Querios

With Northern Coalition. reinforcing large swathes of Querious with the pending changes slated to arrive with Phoebe, the local residents of the Initiative and Get Off My Lawn have been steadily evacuating northwards to rejoin much of the CFC in a more defensible position. The Russian alliance SOLAR FLEET, which earlier this year suffered a near collapse of it’s membership basis as many active corps left to form Dream Fleet, has been preternaturally quiet about any plans or movements that they are preparing to make. Yet on the 23’rd of October, one of the first SOLAR supers killed in months was head shot by an Northern Coalition. supercapital fleet commanded by Tylr of Burning Napalm.
[20:33:30] Tylr > i was moving to check a system we have RF
[20:33:37] Tylr > and i notices[sic] the nyx
[20:33:48] Tylr > I warped into check and saw him right on the edge
[20:34:09] Tylr > so I bookmarked the spot and left system, came back and sure enough he was out assigning fighters
[20:34:14] Tylr > so i left again
[20:34:24] Tylr > pinged nc. titans and slows
[20:34:36] Tylr > jump back, warp in cyno up
[20:34:39] Tylr > titans jump
[20:34:45] Tylr > dd, dead
SOLAR FLEET has been a largely inactive alliance since the end of the Halloween War back in April, having gone into a period of hibernation in Querious while remaining close ties to the CFC. Reports indicate that the alliance leader, MACTEP, is almost permanently AFK, which is what caused the split between many of their heavily pvp focused corporations earlier this year. SOLAR FLEET or the Nyx pilot himself, could not be reached for comment for this article.
Tylr had this to say regarding the death of the titan:
[20:38:22] Tylr > i didnt get on the mail …
[20:38:28] Tylr > my titan didnt have cap
[20:39:57] Tylr > always nice as an FC to give your alliance shinny kills
Northern Coalition. Is still in the process of grinding Querious down, with SOLAR FLEET’s own space perhaps soon on the menu for the taking.
