The past few weeks have been awash with speculation, alliance shuffles, conflict, and panic within the EVE community. The announced SOV changes make up most of the discussion, with a lot of groups speculating about what will happen to the large coalitions that control most of null sec.

CFC & RUS Clash With N3 in A-CJGE
Around 1800 eve time on the 18th January 2015 a fight was sparked between members of the Russian Stainwagon and the N3 Coalition alliances.
The fight started with Nulli Secunda and Stainwagon having a throw down as the Russian alliances try to gain space in the Esoteria region of Null Sec space. Nulli Secunda were responding to the fact that the Russian alliances had reinforced two of their R64 towers in A-CJGE. To defend these towers, Nulli Secunda formed up a fleet of Rattlesnakes with Scimitar and tackle support and Chimera carriers on standby. Other N3 alliances also formed in support of the Nulli Secunda fleet, the Darkness/Kadeshi formed up in their Ishtar fleet with assorted support wings of tackle and logistics.

The Initiative capture N3 station in XS-K10 Immensea
In the early morning of the 13th of December, 2014, The Initiative. managed to capture a station in the N3 stronghold of Immensea, taking it from the Northern Coalition. renter alliance, Northern Associates.
Northern Coalition., who have recently withdrawn their super capital fleet from their staging system in Delve, from which they were trying to strike into CFC space in fountain, did not form up to help their renter alliance, instead leaving it to their N3 coalition members Gentlemen’s.Club, DARKNESS., Skeleton Crew. and The Kadeshi.

CFC Vs. N3 in WY-9LL
Yesterday, Northern Coalition. (NCdot) successfully tackled a group of Clusterfuck Coalition (CFC) dreads in WY-9LL, who were trying to reinforce a POS. The initial tackle of NCdot was done by a group interdictors but not long after, the main NCdot fleet, consisting of proteus strategic cruisers, entered the field.
CFC already had an armor doctrine Battleship fleet ready to rumble if things went south for their dreadnaughts and they also entered the field, and so the fight started. Darkeshi (DARKNESS. and The Kadeshi broliance) showed up in their Legion strategic cruiser doctrine, making the fight for the CFC even tougher.
CFC chose to primary the N3 logistic cruisers and this proved to be the best choice they could have made, as they were able to claim victory as the combined N3 forces quit the field. CFC also won the fight based on ISK destroyed.

PL Titan Death in V-3
V-3 was the site of quite a large battle, and morale victory over PL. In which both a PL titan and Aeon hilariously died in B-3.
The fight in V-3 began when a PL Machariel gang was roaming in the system, was alerted that recently out of Reinforced tower was once again being targeted. The ships doing the targeting were 3 dreads. PL and allies quickly got bubbles on the dreads, and prepared to warp in a response fleet to clear them from the field. At this point, the Machariel fleet warped in and began the slow process of taking them out.
As the first Dreadnought went down, PL had an internal conflict over how to proceed. Some wanted to being in caps and supercaps, some wanted to just continue using subcaps. It was at this point that a well-known PL member ordered a cyno lit so they could bring their titan in.
This proved to be a costly mistake for Hurley of North Eastern Swat, one of the more infamous titan pilots in the game. As the Moros being targeted by the PL titan on field was tanked against their vaunted Doomsday weapons. The original pilot who ordered the cyno allegedly panicked, and caused enough chaos to allow Black Legion to respond with a mass of ships that materialized on field through a nearby wormhole and primaried PL and it's caps/supercaps. The situation was made worse for PL as HERO joined the fight with a force of subcaps.
It was during this time that the forces engaging PL were able to deploy cyno inhibitors. This was to block the return of PL forces that had retreated from the fight temporarily to regroup after the mass entrance of BL and BNI.
As PL forces died caught between 500 hostile pilots and the cyno blockade, a combination of rage and congrats filled the chat channels of all involved. The final value of the titan kill alone comes to ~146 Billion ISK.
NC. did also join the fight in the system and began clearing the field of HERO subcaps in short order. In what seems to be more of a search for content than a revenge for PL. The Aeon which died was caught by HERO tacklers on the way out of V-3, and quickly wiped off the field by a combined Black Legion and HERO response.
Over the several hours in the fight took place, HERO, N3, PL, BL, and many others warped into the system to shoot stuff. Several hundred ships have been destroyed as of the time of writing. I must say, the coordination and execution of this fight for most involved was incredible. This is what EVE is about. And judging from the fact that a lot of the pilots involved are in their first month of EVE, this bodes well for the future of finding good fights, and the game in general.

Black Legion resets N3
blbot@jabber.black-legion.us ***Broadcasted Message from cain_atticus *** : Nulli Secunda, Nulli Tertius, Gentlemen’s.Club, The Predictables, Fraternity (soontm),BPA, The Unthinkables, Jokers, DARKNESS., Bora Alis, The Kadeshi are reset, make you sure you guys relog before going out roaming to update standings.
Black Legion and N3 worked together for many purposes, take Delve, have good fights and just for good fun. Now this relationship has come to an end. Black Legion is deploying back to Venal, where they will ”chill” for a bit to see how EVE changes after the patch.

Nulli Secunda Alliance Update
Alliance Updates are intended for an internal audience and should be considered propaganda or taken with a grain of salt.
This update will cover what we will be doing for the next 10 days right up until the release of Phoebe and how you can get ready. Please read the entire post thoroughly and work hard over the next week to findtime to complete any preparation that you don’t already have done. Most of you won’t need to do anything, for the rest of you this should take virtually no time to get ready. Our plans for Phoebe are simple, and we’re incredibly excited about some of the ideas we have for these new game mechanics. Here are the 5 steps/announcements/stuff of our simple Phoebe plan:
This update will cover what we will be doing for the next 10 days right up until the release of Phoebe and how you can get ready. Please read the entire post thoroughly and work hard over the next week to findtime to complete any preparation that you don’t already have done. Most of you won’t need to do anything, for the rest of you this should take virtually no time to get ready. Our plans for Phoebe are simple, and we’re incredibly excited about some of the ideas we have for these new game mechanics. Here are the 5 steps/announcements/stuff of our simple Phoebe plan:
1) We will be moving everything out of Tartoken and deploying to a new staging system on Sunday, November 2nd:
The exact time of the move op will be posted on
the calendar this upcoming Sunday after our corp leadership meeting,
but expect it to be around the 19:00-20:00 range. There has never been a
more important move op, if it is at all possible for you to make it to
the scheduled move then you need to do so. I know this is cutting it
close to the November 4th Phoebe patch, but because we only have dreads,
carriers, and subcaps in Tartoken, this should be a move we are capable
of making successfully before the jump drive changes. We have very
good reasons for waiting this late to shift to our final destination
before Tartoken, and they outweigh all of the obvious issues that moving
this late might cause. We will do our best to run what is basically a
constant cyno route to our new staging system for the 48 hour period
between when we move and when the Phoebe patch is deployed.
However, I know there will be some of you that
will legitimately not be able to make any move op between Nov. 2nd and
Nov. 4th. If you know that you will not be able to make those ops, or
are in any way concerned that you could miss those ops, then you should
pack up all of your things and talk to your corp members to help get
them moved during the move op. We will be making more than one trip to
go back and get all of the capitals and subcaps, so there will be plenty
of opportunities for your corp mates to get your stuff moved. You have
8 days to determine whether or not you will be able to make the move op
and plan accordingly.
I can not stress this enough, and will be pinging about
this every single day until Nov. 2nd, BUT YOU NEED TO EITHER MAKE THIS
MOVE OP OR GET YOUR TARTOKEN STUFF TO SOME CORP MEMBERS BEFORE NOVEMBER
2ND.
If you have pvp assets in Kheram that you
would like to move to our new staging system, then you need to move
those assets to Tartoken before the move op. Our new deployment will
still be a combat deployment, so you still only need your combat assets.
All Titan and Super pilots have different orders that
are on the supercapital forums. If you are a super and titan pilot and
do not have access to those forums, that sounds like a problem you
should get fixed.
2) You need to finish training the mandatory jump clone
skills we asked you to train during the Tartoken move op. For those of
you who don’t remember, these skills will be mandatory for everyone to
have by November 4th (you can easily train all this in time):
Infomorph Psychology V
Infomorph Synchronizing IV
Advanced Infomorph Psychology IV
We would actually like everyone to have all
those skills ready by November 2nd, as we will be strategically placing
jump clones during our move op (as well as during the week before it).
However, if you are going to be cutting it tight to make the deadline,
We would rather you train Informorph Psychology V first, then Infomorph
Synchronizing to IV, then Advanced Infomorph to as high as you can get
it before the op (and then obviously finish it to IV as soon as
possible).
Every combat pilot, including dread and carrier
pilots (but not supers or titans) is required to have these jump clone
skills trained. This is as mandatory as mandatory things get as far as
I’m concerned. It’s a quick train, but more importantly, so much of our
plans post-Phoebe will revolve around our new Jump Clone strategy. We
will go over in detail our methods and plans at the Nov. 2nd meeting,
but for now you need to start minimizing the amount of jump clones you
have for personal use. With the required skills trained, you’ll be able
to own a maximum of 9 jump clones. Right now we are trying to decide
between requiring you to have 5 or 6 of your jump clones reserved for
alliance use. It’ll be at least 5 (but I’m pushing hard for 6). This
will leave you 3 or 4 jump clones for personal use. If that's not
enough for you currently, then you need to find a way to make that
enough. I wish we could be flexible on this, but we can't.
Orders for where to place the jump clones will
come out this Sunday after our corp leadership meeting. This should
give people who can’t make the Nov. 2nd move op plenty of time to
teledeath and install a jumpclone somewhere.
3) Once you have finished training the required jump
clone skills, we need you to spend 4 days following these skill training
orders:
While not as crucial as the jump clone thing
above, it is very important that we get as many of you as possible to
follow these next instructions before November 2nd. The more of you who
do this, the more effective we will be:
On any account you own, pick a character that you think
you will lose the least post Phoebe (or make a new one if you have an
open slot). It’s important that this character is not your main PVP
character, or isn’t a character you plan on Jump cloning a lot.
You will then pause the skill training on this account
for whatever character is training so that you can train the 4 day skill
plan below. This is why it’s required for you to finish the jump clone
skills before training these skills. I know that no one likes wasting
skill training time, but this is a 4 day skill plan for even the most
basic character. All we are asking for is 4 days.
The skills you need to train are listed in this forum thread: http://forums.nullis...and-aid-fleet/
If this character is not currently in a nulli corp, he doesn’t need to join one yet, we will take care of that on November 2nd.
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ALT CHARACTER THAT IS NOT A PVP
CHARACTER AND HAS ALL OF THESE SKILLS, THEN YOU CAN USE THAT CHARACTER.
That should save you some time.
4) We are relocating Nulli’s home base/asset storage
location from Kheram to UW9B-F in Curse:
http://evemaps.dotla...ap/Curse/UW9B-F
We told everyone a few weeks ago that we would
be discontinuing Kheram as our home base as it is no longer practical to
keep assets their with the Phoebe changes. We have finally decided on
UW9B-F as a place that fulfills the most of our needs in a “home system”
for whatever that will mean in a post-Phoebe world. UW9B and it’s
adjacent system have good 5-LY jump ranges for various jump routes, and
of course some of you will remember that this was the same system we
used to pool our assets after the 0-W hellcamp. Some corps already have
offices, and there are plenty available either in system or within one
jump for every corp to have an office.
Basically, everything you have now in Kheram
that you don’t want to leave in high sec and don’t want to take to our
next deployment, needs to be moved to UW9B-F. The focus should be on
things that can’t be moved in a jump freighter, as JFs will still be
able to move around pretty freely post patch.
5) There are no orders to evacuate anything out of any
conquerable space that we currently own. However, if you have things in
a conquerable station that can not be moved with a Jump Freighter, and
you do not want/need to keep it in the conquerable station, then the
place you should move that stuff to is UW9B-F.
Basically, there is no space we are planning on
purposefully conceding or not defending. So if you are doing industry
things, or ratting things, or whatever down in our sov, then there is no
reason for you to evac those assets unless you feel that you wouldn't
be able to get them out quickly in an emergency. If you have assets
that are much larger than a few jump freighter runs (a.k.a you’ve been
saving cap parts for a super/titan), or have assets that can not
physically fit in a jump freighter, then you will need to discuss that
with your corp leadership after this upcoming Sunday. Your corp
leadership will be getting information as to what we plan to do with
things like super and titan building and other heavy assets of that
nature on Sunday, and will then plan accordingly on what to do with your
stuff.
Conclusion/Summary/whatever:
That's it, do those things. Morale speechs and
narrative crafting and shit like that will be saved for the November 2nd
alliance meeting. You should all make an effort to ensure that not
only are you prepared and finished with all of these things, but that
your corp is as well. I'll be pinging this thread and information about
it every day multiple times a day. We will still be running fleets
from Tartoken, so there's no need to leave here except to do stuff that
is detailed in this post.

PL Resets S2N & Other N3 Alliances, Kills N3 Caps
Pandemic Legion, long-time Nulli Secunda ally and N3 associate, has reset their relations to neutral with almost the entirety of the N3 coalition outside of the Drone Regions.
A source within PL provided the details of the reset:
PL pilots have been quick to take advantage of this massive swath of the galaxy being opened up to hunting. N3 capital ships are appearing on the PL killboard - here's just a sampling: Archon, Anshar, Archon. Ender Hawk of Sniggerdly has gone on a particularly successful spree.
Clearly, Pandemic Legion is planning on ushering in Phoebe with a bang. It remains to be seen just how their reset of one of EVE's largest coalitions will shake up the political map.
It seems that PL's intent to return to "fuck everything" merc group is rather clear as of now. They seem to be as deadset as possible on shaking up the stagnation in NullSec.
A source within PL provided the details of the reset:

The Future of Renters in NullSec
With all the speculation and moves being made in Null/Low Sec space in advance of Phoebe one would not be too far off base in expecting people to try and hang on to old methods and agreements of surviving in EVE. Because as we all know, some EVE players really hate change.
Taking the sell-off of the Drone Regions from PL, and N3 allegedly moving to the SouthWest as an example, a lot of alliances are looking to still try and hold onto a slice of landlord/renter ISK. Or they move into the space left behind in the SouthEast and try to replicate the success of the BOTLRD era.
Regardless of intent, the writing on the wall suggests that rental empires are not long for the sweet embrace of death. As most SOV-holders are looking to focus on holding easily defensible areas and generating more easily defended revenue streams, there are only a few groups left that will vie for the inevitable scraps of the rental table.
The first group that must be discussed is the pirates and small gang PVPers. Pirates and other small PvP groups are not the competitors of renters. Renters do PvE, mostly ratting. Pirates don’t really want to rat. Chasing away ratters without ratting yourself is just dumb: the income from the rats in your land will be gained by no one. Renters have no loyalty to the landlord as we saw PBLRD members running to B0T or NA for better service. They are ready to pay to anyone who guarantees them the ability to rat in peace. Currently these are the big coalitions.
the other groups that will likely be brought up are new faces in the SOV game. Smaller alliances looking to carve out a piece for themselves. Assuming that any smaller groups decide to grind down the evac'd SOV ahead of larger groups and succeed, they will most likely have to focus on holding that SOV from other small groups and defending the revenue of those systems from aforementioned PvP gangs. In all likelihood, small groups won't be renting space anytime soon.
Currently the strategic and tactical control are the same. If you own SOV, then – using jump bridges and bridging titans – you are able to drop an overwhelming force on anyone who is messing in your land. Pirates live by hit-and-run. Renters don’t have to fear them as long as they watch local. The pirates cannot reasonably attack structures because the landlord shows up with a supercap blob or 500 subcaps.
After Phoebe the strategic and tactical control will split. The regional power will still hold the SOV as it can still deploy and grind down everything in a week while stomping on any attempt from the locals to fight. However they will have to deploy to do so, at the cost of not being anywhere else. This means that outside of such deployments, the local pirates are free to plant their towers and siege renters. If the SOV holder scrambles whatever members they have locally, the pirates would likely beat them up. This creates an awkward dual-power situation: both the formal SOV-holder and the local pirates are owning the same land.
Whomever takes control of the situation on the ground from the larger region holding group, both groups will inevitably come to the conclusion that sharing wealth is better than trying to hoard it. A split in renter income will be paid to the pirates actively holding said systems, and the SOV-holder of the region will likely demand a cut. And in effect it will resemble the "protection" rackets of organized crime, in a less violent and chaotic sense.
In most cases, this will not happen at first. The landlords will be reluctant to acknowledge that they lost tactical control and can no longer demand full rent. The pirates will likely approach with an “I just want the World burn”. This can lead to an initial exodus from some regions. An empty land where no one does PvE is good for no one. The SOV-holder will realize that lower rent is better than no rent, while the pirates will realize that having income is better than no income while having blue ratters at least attract random roamers that they can kill, while empty space attracts no one. So after the initial hiccups, the rates of this dual-renting will be accepted and renters will continue ratting as they always did.

Pre-Phoebe Null Sec Shakeup
In which we look at the rumors, announcements, and confirmed intel about how SOV-holding entities are preparing for the drastic force projection changes.
Matterall, one of the EN24 team, put this map together, with a rough depiction of how the predicted map of null sec should look post patch. It also includes areas of conflict along with which regions were bought and sold.

Northern Coalition. (Semi Confirmed)
NC. have made it clear that they will be looking at taking what is currently Initiative space. They have moved their assets into low sec, as well as spread strategic assets around New Eden. Expect them to attempt to hold their sov in the East, but should a large push by any entities come they will most likely not put much, if any, effort into keeping it.
Goonswarm Federation (Confirmed)
They have recently announced that they will no longer be interested in holding any of the current SOV below Fountain. They will be looking to tighten up the spread of current CFC alliances into the North West. Expect them to look at deployments for content at a later stage while keeping their fortress in the North west.Pandemic Legion (Confirmed)
PL have already made a move to sell off half of their sov in the Drone Lands, they sold three regions to xXDeathXx for the price off three months’ rent, with a total somewhere around 150 Billion per region. Expect them to sell more SOV in the near future. Once they cut their ties with all their current SOV and all current blues PL will be looking to go back to their previous existence as a mercenary alliance, taking payments for wars.Darkness & The Kadeshi (Rumor)
There are rumors these two groups have been mashed together in a manner of speaking. Sort Dragon is rumored to be in leadership position. This may indicate a combining of the two in the near future. Assuming it's true. Which it probably isn't.Black Legion. (Unsure)
Black Legion. will be looking to find content post patch. Living near the CFC for long periods of time will be unsustainable, especially with the CFC’s consolidation plan. Currently BL.’s plans are unknown; expect an update on this soon.Legion of xXDeathXx (Expected)
xXDeathXx have recently bought most of Pandemic Legion’s sov, they will also be getting more sov from N3 soon. Expect them to hunker down in the Drone Lands looking to both farm and rent it. It could also be possible that some alliances may be looking to exploit the chaos of these resulting acquisitions to screw with them.Nulli Secunda (Semi Confirmed)
Nulli Secunda will look to make a move for Delve after the patch. Expect NC. to spend the time taking it while Nulli continues to keep the CFC busy up North, until they eventually move to Delve and then hold it for the near future.Soviet-Union (Rumor)
Their motives currently are a mystery. Many of the Russian corps shed by other alliances have joined with them, swelling their ranks. Expect them to actively fight HERO Coalition alongside Provi Bloc.UPDATE:
The regions of Impass and Esoteria have seen a lot of Soviet-Union activity, with them actively taking N3 POS’s from the alliances who are currently deployed up north. Could this be an indication of their interests post patch? We will be sure to keep an eye on it.
Brave Collective (Unsure)
We expect them to continue the fight against Provi Bloc, whether not they will push for more SOV, or look to move South and take the vacant N3 sov we will have to wait and see.Although them grinding SOV seems unlikely.Test Alliance Please Ignore (Unsure)
Test have had their ups and downs as a member of the HERO Coalition. Their intentions are currently unknown; expect an update when we have more detailsThe Initiative. (Some Fact as well as speculation)
The Initiative. have recently announced that they will be losing all of their SOV. This will be a massive change for the alliance, who will either have to become a lot more dependant on the CFC as they look to move closer or look to go it on their own with their own deployments.Razor Alliance (Unsure)
While we do not have much intel on Razor, Although some intel reporting shifting of assets suggests a push for holdings in Fountain. The Gorgon Empire (Rumor)
There are strong murmurs that Gorgon Empire will look to take over control of Scalding Pass, making it their home base of operation.Fraternity. (Rumor)
Fraternity are expected to make a move for Cobalt Edge, which is currently PL space. We could see combat break out over this region, although it is uncertain that PL will be fighting for it; it is also unlikely that Fraternity will go up against xXDeathXx for this region, given that their current standings are blue things may become unpredictable if they both look to take the same space.

CFC Vs S2N + BL & Company
Fighting over an R64 POS in 6-4V20 in Cloud Ring broke out between the CFC and combined forces of N3/BL. Fleet compositions on the N3/BL side seem to have been planned to counter CFC's tactics well. The overall damage to both sides was close in terms of ISK.
CFC Tengus + Harpies + Various Capitals VS S2N + BL & CO Cerberus + Various Capitals
The outcome was very even With Nulli Secunda and BL killing 31 Billion Isk and losing 33 Billion. The capital battle saw both sides lose 4 Dreadnoughts while the CFC lost slightly more carriers, losing 6 and killing 4. The CFC can claim victory as they had the edge in the Isk war, as well as were able to save their POS.
