Leaks: Cult Of War CEO Steps Down!
Hey dudes with a heavy heart i come to talk to you about a serious issue.
I have decided that either it is time for new leadership or time to close down Cult Of War, So one of two things are gonna happen by the end of december.
A: Our current active corps will create a leadership structure, if this option is takin i will orderly hand over all moon goo towers amd shares within the holding corp plus leave a large allowance for srp ect. I would be happy to help this new group transistion in aswell.
B: We close the alliance, At this point i will offer the goo towers we have run for the last couple years to the active corps in our alliance. As long as you pick a blue entity to join your towers will have a measure of protection from n3 and from rental. good examples being the current blues we are working with or nulli,nc depending on your preference.
I wil give you guys till the 15th of december to come up with your plan at this point i will hold a general alliance meeting to either announce a new leader or the orderly deconstruction of the alliance.
The reasons why at this point dont matter, i’m just tired and anything more is just whiney or bitchy and i dont feel like going there. Now that all being said i will maitain and run the towers till a decision is made and there is no shortage of isk so all programs will run. And i would help any new leadership as much as i can to transition, from behind the scenes

PL Titan Death in V-3
V-3 was the site of quite a large battle, and morale victory over PL. In which both a PL titan and Aeon hilariously died in B-3.
The fight in V-3 began when a PL Machariel gang was roaming in the system, was alerted that recently out of Reinforced tower was once again being targeted. The ships doing the targeting were 3 dreads. PL and allies quickly got bubbles on the dreads, and prepared to warp in a response fleet to clear them from the field. At this point, the Machariel fleet warped in and began the slow process of taking them out.
As the first Dreadnought went down, PL had an internal conflict over how to proceed. Some wanted to being in caps and supercaps, some wanted to just continue using subcaps. It was at this point that a well-known PL member ordered a cyno lit so they could bring their titan in.
This proved to be a costly mistake for Hurley of North Eastern Swat, one of the more infamous titan pilots in the game. As the Moros being targeted by the PL titan on field was tanked against their vaunted Doomsday weapons. The original pilot who ordered the cyno allegedly panicked, and caused enough chaos to allow Black Legion to respond with a mass of ships that materialized on field through a nearby wormhole and primaried PL and it's caps/supercaps. The situation was made worse for PL as HERO joined the fight with a force of subcaps.
It was during this time that the forces engaging PL were able to deploy cyno inhibitors. This was to block the return of PL forces that had retreated from the fight temporarily to regroup after the mass entrance of BL and BNI.
As PL forces died caught between 500 hostile pilots and the cyno blockade, a combination of rage and congrats filled the chat channels of all involved. The final value of the titan kill alone comes to ~146 Billion ISK.
NC. did also join the fight in the system and began clearing the field of HERO subcaps in short order. In what seems to be more of a search for content than a revenge for PL. The Aeon which died was caught by HERO tacklers on the way out of V-3, and quickly wiped off the field by a combined Black Legion and HERO response.
Over the several hours in the fight took place, HERO, N3, PL, BL, and many others warped into the system to shoot stuff. Several hundred ships have been destroyed as of the time of writing. I must say, the coordination and execution of this fight for most involved was incredible. This is what EVE is about. And judging from the fact that a lot of the pilots involved are in their first month of EVE, this bodes well for the future of finding good fights, and the game in general.

[DEV POST] [Rhea] Pulse Lasers and Scorch
Hey everyone.
We're making some tweaks to Pulse Lasers of all sizes in Rhea, as well as Scorch ammo.
At the moment Pulse Lasers are quite reliant on T2 Scorch ammo to be viable and powerful. The main goal of these changes is to reduce the reliance on Scorch for Pulse Lasers, making other ammo types a bit more useful. Secondary goals are improving the balance between different tiers of Pulse Lasers and improving the quality of Capital Pulse Lasers a bit.
The basics of the change are:
The result is that optimal range for Pulses without Scorch will be increasing 5%, and optimal range for Pulses with Scorch will be decreasing by 2%. The percentage increase in falloff is different between the different sizes of Pulses, which helps even out the power levels of the different Pulse laser tiers slightly.
Falloff increase per Pulse type is:
Small Focused Pulses, Heavy Pulses, Mega Pulses: +25%
Dual Light Pulses, Focused Medium Pulses, Dual Heavy Pulses: +33.3%
Gatling Pulses, Giga Pulses: +100%
These changes are on SISI for your testing pleasure, feel free to give them a try and let us know what you think!

A few weeks ago, during the Coming to EVE Online dev blog, CCP Games announced the introduction of Tech 3 Destroyers:
The Confessor – Amarr Tech 3 Tactical Destroyer
The Confessor is the first of four all new Tech 3 Tactical Destroyers with the ability to shift between defensive, speed and sniper modes that confer different sets of bonuses. Due to the efforts of Honorary Fabricator-General Ascentior and other devoted capsuleers, the Amarr Empire was the first to complete the research race to build this new kind of ship. The other 3 tactical destroyers will follow in upcoming releases. Read more about this new ship in an upcoming dev blog.

CCP updates it's EULA and policies for input broadcasting
Playing with multiple accounts at the same time has a long history within EVE Online, and has always been permitted. There are various ways to do it, and since there’s been a lot of discussion surrounding what is and isn’t allowed, we’d like to clarify a few terms and exactly how the EULA and our Policies must be interpreted and how some things are shifting.
Over the last few weeks we have gone through an internal review process to clarify what exactly the EULA and ToS require in terms of input automation, input multiplexing and input broadcasting. This is the result of that review process and an outline of how we will interpret things going forward.
Firstly we’d like to go over a few terms.

NCdot/Darkeshi v. CFC in LBGI-2
In the system of LBGI-2, CFC forces squared off with various NC. groups on November 23rd. This skirmish marks another in the long line of setbacks for the CFC after both NC. and Black Legion began open hostilities in both the northern and southern regions of CFC SOV a few weeks earlier.

VENGEANCE IN VENAL – Black Legion vs CFC
The clashes between CFC and BL in Venal have now reached a new apex, in a clash over 2 moons recently. Both sides fielded large Tengu fleets, with Black Legion bringing slightly more of the now-ubiquitous ships while the CFC supported theirs with triage Chimeras and a moderate-sized “Boot” fleet of Archons. The battle itself was over two “money” moons in the 8CIX system, one belonging to Black Legion and another to Out-of-Sight, a Russian alliance living in Venal who are allied with BL.
This is EVE” Uncensored 2014
CCP have released one of their most graphically stimulating and compelling EVE Online trailers to date, "This is EVE - Uncensored". Initially aired at EVE Down Under, it was subsequently published onto YouTube and has made quite the splash.
The trailer features a wide variety of visuals: some staged animation and some footage captured in-game. Taking center stage is the dramatization of fleet combat and maneuvers, featuring CGI fleet fights overlayed with audio captured by Nulli Secunda, HERO, TEST, Rooks and Kings, and notable EVE celebrities such as Johnny Pew and JEFFRAIDER. All of the voice work is player-submitted and was used to reverse-engineer appropriate accompanying footage, including the industry interaction screen, the hacking minigame, footage of in-game fitting windows and hangars, the ISIS ship tracker, and, of course, flying, fighting, and exploding spaceships.
Response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, with players calling it "amazing", "the greatest EVE trailer ever", and even committing to resubscribe.

The Kadeshi Ravaged by PL and Lazerhawks
The Kadeshi lost two supercapital ships and several carriers in their home territory to a mostly Pandemic Legion (PL) Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet. The Kadeshi dropped on a roving band of pilots from the very large (and still growing) Lazerhawks Corporation, who are wormhole dwellers who specialise in PVP.
According to a Lazerhawks pilot, the roaming gang spotted an Aeon Super Capital ship floating outside of a POS. Kadeshi didn’t know they had been spotted but recounted that a neutral had popped into the system for a few seconds. The Aeon cloaked and left system but the Lazerhawks were intrigued. When Kadeshi carriers were spotted floating nearby, Lazerhawks returned to their base and changed into the favored Ishtars – Heavy Assault Cruisers with high drone DPS. They also sent a message to Pandemic Legion, complete with wormhole instructions on how to get to the area. Pandemic Legion began to mobilize a medium sized force. The counter attack clock started ticking.
The Lazerhawks moved to make Kadeshi commit their forces. They brought in 2 ramming battleships on the (likely bait) carriers and the Kadeshi reacted by lighting a cynosural beacon and bridging in an impressive ten strong super capital fleet with tackle support. The Kadeshi, feeling safe deep in their own territory, began to easily destroy the intruders. However their progress was not fast enough and Pandemic Legion emerged through the wormhole path supplied by Lazerhawks. Kadeshi were sideswiped by their former ally, as they swept into the fight and tied the Kadeshi supercapital fleet down.
The Kadeshi fleet defended itself by attacking the PL ships that held them captive, but the Heavy Interdictor Cruisers were being repaired too fast to kill. PL and Lazerhawks went to work and started to destroy the Kadeshi’s only usable weapon systems – their fighters. The capital fleet was trapped but safe now that enemy capital ships could not jump in from far away staging systems or fit through wormholes. They would be indestructible as long as they stayed together and within repair range.
Pandemic Legion and Lazerhawk knew this too, so they began to work on separating them one at a time to bring them down. After a Lazerhawks pilot, Replika who managed to survive the initial attack, used his ramming battleship and was able to repeatedly smash into an Aeon, eventually bumping it 70 kilometers from the pack. Known for their massive armor hulls, the Aeon could withstand a lot of damage. There was still hope, if it lasted long enough.
Knowing they had limited time, The Kadeshi scrambled a subcapital Tengu fleet, and their ‘brolition’ mates, DARKNESS. also tried to lend a hand, to destroy the enemy tackle and save their Aeon. Unfortunately the Tengu fleet was outnumbered and dispatched by the joint PL and Lazerhawk forces. They watched as the massive Aeon was slowly crushed under a hail of drone damage.
Bolstered by the success PL and Lazerhawks followed up by ramming a second supercapital, a Nyx away from the pack. It was annihilated quickly due to it having too many energy modules and not enough defensive tank modules fitted. The pilot of the Nyx had prepared for a different scenario than the one that was unfolding.
Hours had passed and the Kadeshi, mired like giant elephants in a tar pit, were being picked apart and eaten by a pack of hyenas. They came to an uncomfortable conclusion and reluctantly sent an SOS to the HQ of Northern Coalition. (NCdot). Their allies’ juggernaut capital fleet was stationed within jump range. This was a tough decision for Kadeshi. First, for needing help in their own back yard, and second for complicating NCdot diplomacy. NCdot and Pandemic Legion are allies – they cannot fight each other.
NCdot responded quickly, fully appreciating how fast their ally Pandemic Legion could bring down a capital fleet in the past and knowing that, even in Phoebe Pandemic Legion was still a force to be reckoned with and even in this new world of slow travel, they could not be underestimated. NCdot assembled pilots for supercapitals and carriers for a rescue fleet.
Pandemic Legion and Lazerhawks were tearing down their third victim, another Nyx. Lazerhawks had prepared and set up Mobile Cynosural Inhibitors which prohibited NCdot supers from landing directly on the trapped Kadeshi supercapitals. Sue to the Mobile Cynosural Inhibitors, NCdot was forced to jump part of their fleet to a ping over 200 kilometers from the battle. PL put up warp disruption field bubbles to block the NCdot capitals from warping into repair range of the beleaguered Kadeshi force. No shots were fired at each other, but they were wrestling over the fate of the Kadeshi fleet.
Finally, NCdot maneuvered around the PL forces and broke through to the battlefield, landing as the Nyx was deeply damaged. Repair beams lit up from the huge NCdot fleet, making any further destruction impossible. The Nyx was saved, as were the other seven supercapitals. Even with saving most of the fleet The Kadeshi still lost over 90 Billion ISK.
The Kadeshi leadership got an earful from Vince Drakon, leader of NCdot.

Leak: Sort Dragon’s Internal Alliance update related to TC0 Drama
The piece below was written by Sort Dragon, CEO of DARKNESS.
Last night was a long night and resulted in only about 3 hours sleep for me. Last night resulted in the loss of the biggest on pure member base for dark, if I am honest it has been a long time coming for many different reasons I will get onto some of them in a bit here but first I would like to address some of the uncertainties that may have come up with this action taken against T-C-0. I have in the past made some blatant mistakes in leadership areas where I and the people under me have paid dearly, one of those being leadership of the Honey Badger Coalition, one can say I let the power get to my head and I opened my stupid mouth in public even after repeated calls from my now wife to just shut up and I will regret this. Since the fall of the HBC I have vowed to do and be a lot different to then. Due to reasons you can all find out online I ended up in prison during the start of this year and for anyone who has been inside you get a lot of time to think. Unfortunately in eve you are always remembered for your misgivings not for the good you have done, I am not saying I am a saint and there is a reason for a lot of people to hate me in this game but the two things I vowed when I took over the leadership of this alliance was 1 I would listen to my wife more she knows nerds well and 2 I would use all the experience I had good and bad to make the best alliance I could with what I had. This is a work in progress…
Now on to TC0, it is really important to know that some of the members in this corp are some of the best pilots we have in this alliance. I would like to make note of 1 particular person in TC0 who if it wasn’t for him our srp would not have gotten done for the past 6 months his name is VallheruCZ. The reason we got to this place is simply because of the worst corp CEO I have ever met it in this game, MarekCZE was worse then even I at my peak of egomania I used to and to an extant still a massive ego. Marek however believed that he was gods gift to the alliance and unfortunately did not have much to show for it. The issues myself, Vigilanta and other CEO’s had with Marek are numerous, they include racist and rude insults levelled at multiple ceos, threats to shoot other corps in the alliance, threats to shoot blues and worst of all his complete inability to follow the direction all the other corps were. This alongside with his argumentative nature in ceo meetings and other forms of communication was eroding any last friend Marek had in other ceo’s and directors in alliance these already I could count on just 1 hand. The strongest supporter of Marek was Vigi himself who with his big heart believed with working with the directors in TC0 help to calm Marek down from being such a dick to everyone he came in contact with. It is important to note Vigilanta didn’t exactly like Marek he just believed the corp could be saved.
By early December even Vigilanta had enough with Marek, I was getting upwards of 8-10 messages a week from marek about his current demands from the alliance. It is important to also know that in mid November Marek had decided to leave the alliance with his corp due to dark moving to delve and him not liking blood raiders because dey be scary. After he had agreed to go he then begged to be aloud to stay, I in my moment of stupidity allowed him to stay even after calls from multiple people who knew and did not understand why.
We now bring ourselves to current day and the events of last weekend. On friday night myself and vigi had a 4 hour long meeting which covered both what we would discuss on the ceo meeting in under 24 hours and the agenda. This then turned into TC0 and do we still want to deal with this and Marek in another CEO meeting, we spent nearly 3 hours weighing the pros and cons of keeping TC0 or losing Marek in the end the corp could not stand up with enough merit to beat an obnoxious childish shitlord of a CEO. It was decided that Vigi would log on saturday morning just before going to his weekend class and we would give him a weeks notice to move out. Saturday morning came and vigi was late, it was an ohshit moment due to me not wanting to do it without a witness and someone to see I wasn’t just being a dick and his word against mine. Vigi finally arrived and we gave Marek the news, instead of him taking it calmly and accepting it or at least being a little frosty he went on the offensive calling Vigi a stupid american who can just not take people being honest around him, it is important to remember that it was me who has actually told him he was kicked and vigi had been his strongest ally up until nearly 2 weeks before. Me being known for my short fuse exploded on Marek, telling him if he didn’t keep this amicable like it needed to be for his members then I would log in imediatly and boot his ass out on the curb, Vigi then left for class and we all went back to our corp channels.
Sorry this is taking so long but we now bring ourselves to the actions of last night, through multiple sources since Saturday I had found out that marek was applying to cfc alliances, this in itself was not an issue I had no issue with this, his attitude is well known in n3 and so the chance of him getting in any alliance in this coalition was slim and due to a lot of stainwagon having been in dark before they too knew how he was so his only real option was coven or the cfc. Anyway back to the CFC side, again there was no issue with him joining the cfc, the issue I had was with the rumblings of him looking for a way to awox members in dark with anyone willing to take up his torch. This had started to worry because especially with us on a break week this week if someone was to get dropped our response time would be seriously lacking. During a meeting with myself and the leaders of Kadeshi we were given a copy of mails one of Marek’s directors were sending out regarding plans for the future. This worried both us and Kadeshi so the decision was made by myself to remove the corp from alliance and set them blue for 24 hours giving members a final chance to move out. Marek was notified and Kadeshi set him +10 so they could still dock in hm- station.
In true Marek style he lashed out at anyone and everyone that would listen calling myself all kinds of names and that this was the mistake of my life and blah blah blah, this I could take but the real reason TC0 was then reset is instead of marek doing the smart thing he should have he instead did not set Dark/Thor blue instead his remaining loyal followers started camping, the actual reset came after a Kadeshi hauler was killed next to hm- in Nol. I was on TS with LTD Spacepig and Agame as this happened and the decision was made that nothing good would come of this so I notified them to reset them. At the same time this happened Ladrien who had been hauling all of Marek’s personal assets out of Delve got wind of Mareks plans and decided to inact his own revenge stealing Marek of close to 40 of his personal assets.
Following this I got notified by Marek that once a convict always a convict, this is true for sure. I was born in Australia my father was Irish damn straight I am a convict. Jokes aside I am glad Marek is gone even if we as alliance will lose some useful pilots and some good pilots.
Please if you have any questions about this post if you managed to read it all then feel free to post it below.
I apologise for the drama and I apologise for the horrible spelling, grammar in this post.

Battle Report: Battle for YN3-E3
YN3-E3 is one of the systems recently taken by Confederation of xXPIZZAXx in Geminate and has recently sparked up some conflict. Legion of xXDeathXx have been doing a lot of fighting for space recently, with rumours that some members have racked up as much as 13 days of jump fatigue trying to hold their space.
In an attempt to take YN3-E3 xXDeathXx dropped several SBU’s and put the system into vulnerability. PIZZA contacted Black Legion. offering them a chance for a fight. Black Legion made their way towards Geminate early on giving themselves time to move via gates, they then logged off in order to remain unscouted. xXDeathXx moved in and began trying to grind down the system in armour ishtars. They had also moved several dreadnoughts and super carriers into range in order to make the grind slightly easier, however they perhaps wisely chose not to field them.
PIZZA formed up an ishtar gang of their own and moved to engage the the xXDeathXx fleet but were out numbered with around 21 ishtars against 56. Black Legion waited with baited breath hoping that the dreads and supers would show up, with PIZZA even dropping a few carriers as bait. However when it was realised that the dreads and supers were not going to show up and that PIZZA would need help killing off the ishtar gang, Black Legion cynoed in with a large tengu fleet and made quick work of the ishtars and support T3s in a very onsided fight with about 250 pilots up against 111.
The final tally came to 16.4 Billion lost by xXDeathXx having lost almost all of their ishtar fleet with BL and PIZZA losing just over a Billion isk worth of ships. All the SBU’s were killed with PIZZA dreads and the system remains in PIZZA hands. xXDeathXx will need to find a way pull more numbers in fleets if they want to try and hold their large amount of sov that they paid a lot of isk to acquire.

Battle for F4R2-Q HERO, BL., others vs PL Last Timer W/ Video
The final timer on the 4FR2-Q was the site of a major battle between PL and HERO. The battle started over a combination of 4 PL SBUs and timers in the system. HERO decided to split it's forces and attack multiple SBUs and hold some in reserve. As well as anchoring it's primary subcaps on the main gate which PL was moving through. Inf fact, HERO had the numerical advantage in terms of subcaps, which no doubt contributed to both being able to hold PL at bay to a degree, and the losses suffered.
The primary engagement away from the gate was at the SBUs. Wherein PL laid a trap of sorts, and HERO walked right into it through sheer bad luck. At least 2 Ragnarok titans flown by PL jumped in on the SBU ahead of the main PL force, and HERO responding by dumping dreads onto them. While at the same time a second dread force was engaging the second SBU.

RAZOR Alliance Loses 2 Systems to Supercell
Phoebe seems to have opened up fronts for smaller alliances to attack. Supercell, formerly a renter alliance of Brothers Of Tangra and Shadow of xXDeathXx, are one of these alliances.
A week ago, RAZOR Alliance managed to capture HB-5L3 which connects Tenal to Cobalt Edge. Supercell, who live close to this system knew that it was time for them to stake a claim and plant their flag because their corporations weren’t making any revenue as they sat.
They knew that RAZOR would likely have difficulty defending the structures as they onlined, so Supercell started forming small groups of bombers. With these small fleets they started performing their ”Stealth-bomber terror”. SBUs that were in system were engaged and took damage with no retort from RAZOR.
Supercell decided that the SBUs weren’t enough and started look for something else to hit while RAZOR was either occupied elsewhere or was otherwise unresponsive. The TCU popped up into their minds and so they went to town.
They successfully downed the TCU with no answer from RAZOR. This kindled the alliance’s members’ bloodthirst – they wanted more. This excitement was focused into action; Supercell patiently initiated the construction of 60 battleships which they would use to reinforce the system’s IHUB.
Time passed and eventually the battleships came out of build with no sign of RAZOR coming to defend their holdings. Supercell members quickly bought the battleships off the market. The battleships were sold so quickly that, soon enough, they were able to field their latest fleet concept; a mix of Abaddons, Ravens and Dominixes with a wing of Catalysts as escort and additional DPS.
A fleet was formed, members joined and they all flew over to the IHUB preparing to fight a possible RAZOR defense fleet. They started attacking the IHUB, but again there was no response from RAZOR alliance….
The IHUB went into reinforced and Supercell members, who had previously seen themselves as just simple renters, began to see themselves as an alliance which can engage in sov warfare with one of the oldest entities in the game, and were now looking forward with dour-eyed determination, ready to do whatever it takes to capture a system they could call their own.
However, it didn’t all go Supercell’s way. While attacking the TCUs the alliance brought their battleship fleet with a wing of Catalysts as escort. Out of the 82 Catalysts that Supercell fielded they lost every single one and also managed to lose a Raven and an Abaddon. This was not to a RAZOR Fleet, or indeed any fleet. The losses came courtesy of a Minmatar POS Tower with a lone RAZOR Malediction pilot manning the guns.
I tracked down Dograzor, one of the Razor Alliance’s diplomatic contacts. They confirmed that two of their spare SBUs were destroyed but refused to comment whether they will defend against Supercell’s aggression or form to defend the IHUB when its reinforcement timer ends.
Whether or not this has anything to do with the recent loss of the Repercussus [-R.P-] corp, which included a lot of their USTZ members and one of RAZOR alliances’ main USTZ FCs, is something on which RAZOR would also not comment. However, until RAZOR field a fleet in the USTZ and commit to a fight we will not know how this has affected their alliance.

Hero Coalition Resets Almost Awesome Alliance
HERO Coalition has been fighting ProviBloc, Pandemic Legion and others for the last few months. Everything was proceeding as planned until we received notice that Almost AwesomeDOT [N0FUX] is leaving HERO Coalition.
Following an argument between Roweena Azur and June Ting, the Almost Awesome alliance has been booted from HERO.
Our information [later also posted on reddit] said that there was tension between Almost Awesome. leadership and other HERO Alliances. This tension exploded into a big argument which led to multiple alliances resetting Almost Awesome.
The remarks by Roweena are far worse than depicted initially, being heavily homophobic and bigoted in general. This should not be tolerated by HERO or any coalition that seeks to bring new players to EVE. EVE already has a somewhat toxic reputation about how it treats new players, this is just unacceptable. Thankfully, most of the EVE community seems to agree with this sentiment, including some HERO alliances offering to take in Almost Awesome members who wish to jump ship following this.
Travel advisory: Almost Awesome. [N0FUX] are leaving Hero and therefore they have been set to 0.0, please check your standings.

AAR: The space formerly known as "BPA space"
As the final addendum to yesterdays goings on with BPA, the BRAVE subreddit is alight with posts confirming the final outcome. With RUS and HERO claiming SOV. Of special note is the former BPA super production center going to BRAVE.
There are even allegations that -A- and BPA had coordinated to try and allow -A- to take the space before HERO. Giving BPA a chance to insulate themselves from HERO aggression. Given the nature of how cushy BPA's situation was prior to the IG fiasco, this does seem plausible.
Yesterday shortly after downtime we got alerted by SOUND that SOV in Y-PNRL, 6BPS-T and 25S-6P dropped and -A- started to take over those systems. What seems to have happened is that BPA kicked the SOV holding corp and pre arranged with -A- to take over the space. At least -A- being immediately ready with POSes and TCUs, seems to make such an arrangement very likely.
We went down south to scout what's happening and indeed -A- had TCUs onlining in all systems and was building POS towers next to their TCUs. Further intel reported an Russian Ishtar fleet being on their way, too.
The timing was aweful for us, since it hit us between late AU and early EU timezone and although we pinged for help, there was no way we could form up for a fight. Instead we employed some Gorilla Warfare by setting up a TCU of our own in 6BPS-T. The -A- TCU was not onlining, since they were still busy bashing the SBUs. We succeded started the onlining first and made them bash the TCU, delaying the takeover.
Meanwhile Travis responded to form up a fleet of our own later at 19:30.
Since this time was awefully close to the systems flipping, Sinister Agenda brought down a bashing fleet, to kill as many TCUs as possible, before Travis gets to us. With the help of Bloodline, we could kill all 3 -A- TCUs in 25S-6P.
The main fighting then happened between the BRAVE Eagle fleet supported by an allied Ishtar field from HONOR and TEST vs. the RUS Ishatars. PL payed us all their trademarked honorable 3rd party visit in Tengus. In the end we could hold the field and after the dust cleared:
Also see:
Although all this was a clusterfuck of epic proportions while it was going on, it also was a lot of fun. In the end I think this kick in the but from BPA was helpful, since it forced us to finally clean the southern pocket.

- 6BPS-T station was flipped by a BRAVE (mostly BOVRIL) bashing fleet and the TCU will be online shortly, claiming the system for BRAVE
- 25S-6P station was flipped by Bloodline and SOUND and the system went to Bloodline.

BPA screws up and drops SOV in Catch [UPDATED]
The Black Pearl Alliance, which caused quite a stir a few months ago in HERO coalition. Wherein it was involved in a dispute between IG, BRAVE, and PL over multiple issues. Which led to IG being ejected from BRAVE.and attempting to join BPA.
Now it seems that BPA may have been either reorganizing, or planning to join another SOV holding entity altogether, although they made a major mistake.
It is alleged that BPA were transferring SOV to BRAVE, although this remains unconfirmed.
According to dotlan, Black Pearl Alliance has dropped SOV that they were transferring. Against All Authorities has already found out about this, and they have started to online multiple TCU’s. Y-PNRL‘s station is already controlled by Against All Authorities, so its pretty interesting to see how things are going to develop!
[UPDATE 1]
HERO has stepped up and engaged -A- and other RUS allainces in the system of 6BPS-T. This appears to be the first of the TCU timers coming to fruition after -A- onlined TCUs earlier when they interrupted the BPA SOV transfer of the 3 systems held by BPA.
6BPS-T is the primary supercap production system of BPA. Which has in the past sold supercapitals in exchange for relations and even protection from some larger Nullsec entities.

[UPDATE 2]
HERO, PL AND RUS engaged in conflicts across multiple systems of HERO and BPA SOV.
It appears as though PL engaged HERO forces and did some significant damage, then engaged the remainder of RUS.

Dev Blog: Coming to EVE Online in the Rhea release on December 9th
It seems strange to think we owe the discovery of this system to the capsuleers. Taya admitted as much to me at risk of her vocation, perhaps her life. I don't think we can ignore the role they played. Everything we do here goes back to them one way or the other. Even if they don't know it.

Rhea is a release that expands EVE Online. Here is what's coming to New Eden on December 9th.
Thera and the hundred other shattered wormholes
A hundred new wormhole systems are revealed in Rhea along with Thera, a huge named wormhole system with four Sisters of EVE stations and a multitude of wormhole connections to known space. Landmarks and mysteries abound. Read all about it in this dev blog from CCP Fozzie: Thera and the shattered wormholesNo clone grades and no skill point loss on pod death
Clone grades, clone upgrade cost and skill point loss when podded (except when losing a Strategic Cruiser) will be removed in Rhea. Read more about these changes and the reasoning behind them in an upcoming dev blog by CCP Terminus, or watch Episode 2 of the o7 show (13:00 mark) to hear about these changes.
The Bowhead – ORE Freighter
Move assembled ships in this new freighter from ORE that comes with a large ship maintenance bay. If a Bowhead is destroyed, there is a chance that assembled ships can be found amongst the wreckage. Read about the stats and capabilities of the Bowhead in this forum post.Sleeper scout drones roaming in known space
A new type of roaming scout drones, seemingly originating from wormhole space Sleeper sites, will be investigating something in known space. Engage them at your own risk. These NPCs and the Artificial Intelligence code that will power them will be highlighted in an upcoming dev blog.Sleeper Cache High End Exploration Sites and Polarized Weapon Modules
Rhea will bring Standard and Superior versions of the Sleeper Cache high-end exploration sites, where you can find the new Polarized weapons that have some great benefits but reduce your resists to zero. Read about these mysterious sites in this dev blog from CCP SoniClover: Sleeper Cache Exploration Sites & Polarized WeaponsShip rendering and lighting updated with Physically Based Rendering techniques (PBR)
“Physically Based Rendering” is a term for cutting edge rendering methods that closely model how real light bounces off different surfaces. Rendering ship models and lights using this approach results in materials and surfaces that look more realistic and light that falls and reflects beautifully. With Rhea, all ships except T3 strategic cruisers get rendered with PBR techniques. Upcoming releases will continue to apply these methods to more parts of EVE. Read about the technology and vision in an upcoming dev blog from CCP Mankiller.New UI look, window transparency options and interface icons
The EVE Online UI gets a big update in Rhea to improve the user experience and make EVE look more modern with new Neocom and window and station service icons, new window skins and faction color themes, and new UI effects.. A number of options and settings will be available to customize the experience. Read more in this dev blog from CCP Optimal: A new look for EVE’s UI – feedback needed!Opt-In Keyboard Ship Control
In Rhea, you will be able to try keyboard ship control as an opt-in beta feature. No new mechanics or movement options are introduced, just the ability to fly with WASD or arrow keys for the same movements you can do today using double-click. Read more in this dev blog from CCP Nullarbor: Quick, give me manual control!Opt-in New Star Map
The Star Map has been completely redone to improve readability and usability, and in Rhea you can try this new map as an opt-in beta feature. Read more about what’s new in an upcoming dev blog.Blackbird, Rook and Falcon Ship Models Redesigned

BREAKING: The Unthinkables Disbanding; Corps Joining THOR/DARK/BL.
We just received notice that The Unthinkables alliance is disbanding. At least 4 corporations have already been accepted into Black Legion. and all other corporations are likely to find new homes in DARKNESS. and The Kadashi.
What led to the disbanding of The Unthinkables is the return of Space Chutney. Space Chutney wasn’t only returning to the game but also to his old position of CEO and Head FC. Space Chutney decided that it would be best to lead his alliance into the depths of the Drone Regions. All INK members got excited because they remembered the good old times. Phoebe was about to become reality, which would make it harder for alliances to deploy, so Space Chutney ordered everybody to start moving prior to the patch’s deployment.
Patch day arrived and most members spent their time playing other games or talking to one another on TS or IRC. Space Chutney connected to IRC and wrote a message in the Leadership channel saying that he is going AFK again for a long time, o7’d and disappeared.
This message left Unthinkables in chaos, with pretty much everybody pissed off that their dream of the good old days was shattered. FCs such as Varc Greyback left INK for greener pastures and shortly thereafter, others followed. Corporations mainly contacted The Kadeshi because they were longstanding allies.
In an attempt to save INK, a new leader stepped up named Master Kent. His first decision was to start mass pinging INK that The Kadeshi was dying, and they were likely to merge with DARKNESS. This is not true, and corporations knew that so it had almost no affect on INK. This action made CEOs even more pissed off and so its expected that INK, circling the drain, will finally sink into history.
Ltd SpacePig, a member of The Kadeshi leadership team, had to say the following when we asked him about the situation:
What led to the disbanding of The Unthinkables is the return of Space Chutney. Space Chutney wasn’t only returning to the game but also to his old position of CEO and Head FC. Space Chutney decided that it would be best to lead his alliance into the depths of the Drone Regions. All INK members got excited because they remembered the good old times. Phoebe was about to become reality, which would make it harder for alliances to deploy, so Space Chutney ordered everybody to start moving prior to the patch’s deployment.

Dev Blog: Thera and the Shattered Wormholes
Rough transition through wormhole conduit to seventh candidate location. Shields and nanoplating held with minimal erosion. Deployed camera drones and was immediately impressed by the vivid blue glare of the central star. Even brighter than typical blue A0 types. Analysis showed it to be subtype A0IV and qualifying as a blue subgiant. Extremely turbulent with many signs of instability in star and the background radiation of the system. Briefly turned forward plating transparent with polarizing filters in place, and was struck by the dire beauty of the star.
Hello dauntless Capsuleers!
On the heels of our successful Phoebe release last week, this is CCP Fozzie bringing you details of a few of the many exciting additions in store for our Rhea release, which is coming to you in less than a month on December 9th.
If you’ve been paying attention to EVE’s game world news over the past several weeks you will have noticed that unusual events are unfolding in the New Eden Cluster, and that the enigmatic Sleeper residents of the ‘Anoikis’ wormhole regions are somehow involved.
With these new developments, this would be an excellent time to brush up on your scanning skills and learn some wormhole fundamentals.
These events are ongoing and will have far reaching consequences. We’re now ready to announce that one consequence of these events will be that Capsuleers will gain access to one hundred and one new wormhole systems in the Rhea release.
These wormhole systems will all be distinct from existing space in several important ways and will fall into three categories:
The seventy five Standard Shattered Wormhole Systems will be similar to normal W-space systems in many ways (including delayed-mode local chat), but will have a few important distinctions:
The twenty five Small Ship Shattered Wormhole Systems will have all the features of the normal Shattered Wormhole Systems, with the following additions:
And then we come to the most significant of all the new shattered systems:
Thera is a new and unique wormhole system that will be intimately tied to EVE’s developing storyline and will essentially represent a new 5th variant of space in New Eden.
The Thera system is colonized by a research expedition organized by The Sanctuary corporation, and more information about their presence in Thera will be revealed bit by bit in the future.
As always, we know that our players will take EVE’s new features in creative directions that we at CCP can never fully foresee, however we do have predictions for at least a few of the ways these systems will add to the diversity of experiences in EVE.
The shattered wormhole systems should represent an excellent “neutral ground” for wormhole entities that might be hesitant to engage in a system containing hostile starbases. They will also be an excellent reward for pilots bold enough to mine ice or run anomalies outside the security of their home wormhole. And although it will be more difficult to live in a shattered wormhole system without the use of starbases, we know that some of our players will find a way like they always do.
Thera will attract a mix of crowds as diverse as pvp corporations searching for some variety in their combat, industrialists serving the local market, explorers intent on puzzling out the secrets of the system’s history, adventurers looking to make a quick buck under their hunter’s noses, and dedicated local pvpers preying on all the rest and using the system’s unique geography to their advantage.
We expect that Thera will appeal most strongly to players who find the concept of living at the center of an ever-shifting set of wormhole connections appealing. Residents of Thera will know that each day they will have a different menu of neighbors and access to different areas of known space.
We anticipate this to be one of the busiest nullsec systems in EVE over sustained periods, and have plans in place to ensure that it receives appropriate hardware support.
As of the publishing of this dev blog, the Singularity test server is up and running with the first early build of the Rhea release; including Thera and the shattered wormhole systems. We can’t wait to start reading your feedback as you explore these systems for yourself and hope you send any videos you make of its beauty and terror to share@eveonline.com,
More information about how you can get to Thera and start exploring can be found in our Test Server Feedback forums.
This new space represents just one of the many improvements and additions to EVE Online that will be coming your way with the Rhea release on December 9th. Our Executive Producer CCP Seagull will be bringing you a “Coming in Rhea” dev blog soon, jam packed with lots of surprises.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this first look at our new solar systems, and remember to never stop exploring!

Sensors indicate several outer planets of various types and an inner zone of numerous terrestrials. The innermost pair of planets show signs of shattering similar to that seen in previous candidate locations. This system stands out as extremely capacious and probes are returning multiple wormhole signatures. Could it be lucky seven?

These events are ongoing and will have far reaching consequences. We’re now ready to announce that one consequence of these events will be that Capsuleers will gain access to one hundred and one new wormhole systems in the Rhea release.
These wormhole systems will all be distinct from existing space in several important ways and will fall into three categories:
The seventy five Standard Shattered Wormhole Systems will be similar to normal W-space systems in many ways (including delayed-mode local chat), but will have a few important distinctions:
They will have no moons and every planet will be shattered. The reasons for this phenomena are heavily tied into the ongoing and upcoming events within New Eden.
They will have some special landmark sites that also connect to the storyline and provide clues to the reason they were previously inaccessible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they found their way to Mark726’s EVE Travel blog.
They will have a somewhat higher occurrence of some of their class-appropriate W-space signature and anomaly content compared to a normal W-space system.
They will contain a new celestial debris field asteroid belt anomaly that will be larger and richer than most belts.
They will contain minable ice fields. This will be the first ice available in wormhole space.
They will all have an additional known-space “static” wormhole connection alongside the normal “static” connections that they receive by virtue of their class. For those unfamiliar with wormhole navigation, a “static” connection in this case means that there’s always a wormhole exit to a particular security level “known-space” system (one in EVE’s star map).
They will be distributed into all the existing wormhole classes, and some will have one of the current wormhole system effects.
There are also some extra unique lore-connected surprises to be found in a small percentage of these new systems.
The twenty five Small Ship Shattered Wormhole Systems will have all the features of the normal Shattered Wormhole Systems, with the following additions:
All wormholes in or out of these systems will be small ship wormholes, meaning that only Frigates, Destroyers and Heavy Interdictors (Heavy Interdictors can use their bubble generators to reduce their mass) can enter.
These systems will all receive anomaly and signature sites appropriate for wormholes between class 1 and class 3, but will receive the system effects normally reserved for C6 Wolf Rayet systems (+100% armor hit points +200% small weapon damage, -50% shield resists, -50% signature size)
And then we come to the most significant of all the new shattered systems:
Thera is a new and unique wormhole system that will be intimately tied to EVE’s developing storyline and will essentially represent a new 5th variant of space in New Eden.
Thera is a gigantic shattered wormhole system that contains four NPC stations and a large number of wormhole connections.
The four stations in Thera will each have a full set of services, including cloning, office slots, and manufacturing. You will be able to set these station as your medical clone location, and install Jump Clones if you wish.
Thera has multiple static connections highsec, lowsec and nullsec space as well as access to wandering wormholes and K162 connections that can connect it to W-space. The result is a system that is much more connected to K-space than to W-space.
None of the connections to Thera will admit capital ships (freighters will be able to squeeze in), none of the stations in Thera will allow capitals to be built, and there are no moons for starbase anchoring. This means the system will only ever contain sub-capital vessels.
Thera is the largest system we have ever had in EVE. The stations are spread between three different planets at the edges of the system and warps between them can be up to 342 AU. The vast distances and huge number of wormholes ensures that keeping a lockdown on all of the stations and wormholes in the system will be exceedingly difficult, although we expect it to be an extremely dangerous place.
Anchored warp disruption bubbles will not be usable within Thera, although interdictor and heavy interdictor bubbles work normally.
Thera does not have a system bonus effect.
Thera contains wormhole signature and anomaly sites appropriate for class 3 and class 4 wormholes, as well as all the different types of wormhole gas mining sites on par with a class 6 wormhole system.
Thera does have distinct visuals including new unique station skins for the Sisters of EVE, a new nebula and a new sun effect.

CT8K-0 claimed by PFR (Phoebe Freeport Republic)
An AAR published by the leader of the PFR has clued Reddit users into recent updates of everyone's favorite Reddit formed alliance. The PFR expanded their holdings in Etherium Reach with an op against the IHUB in the system.
The system of CT8K-0 was property of Nulli Secunda after they originally took the system back in 2013. Although it seems that Nulli had not given enough effort to maintain the system as the IHUB and station were already badly damaged by the time the PFR op occurred.
Below is the AAR post in it's entirety.
This after action report chronicles the next major development after we onlined the ihub in the first system claimed by the Phoebe Freeport Republic. PFR is a new entity moving to claim space and open freeports in sov null.
Shoot first, check sov guides later
On Saturday afternoon, our Etherium Reach scouts reported juicy intel: the station and ihub in CT8K-0 had no armor EHP. Whoever had last fought for the system must not have repaired the structures, meaning they could be conquered with less grinding and just a single timer per structure. Flush with victory after claiming and ihubbing the worst system in New Eden, a PFR crusading fleet formed without a moment’s hesitation and reinforced the system’s station and ihub. Without clearing the hostile SBUs first.
Yeah.
So we put an ihub and station timer on the board, but the implications of not owning the SBUs were dire: until the reinforcement timers clicked down, the SBUs were invulnerable. As soon as the timers were finished, hostile forces could simply offline the SBUs and make our targets, the ihub and station, invulnerable to attack.
This SBU mechanic wasn’t a complete surprise, but sometimes the rampaging horde demands immediate structure shooting satisfaction (for whatever reason) while the people who “understand” sov are sleeping or briefly logging out to handle real life.
Curiously, CT8K-0 was in a unique diplomatic situation: the owners of the sov were far away with their capital fleet’s wings clipped by Phoebe’s jump drive changes, but the SBUs themselves were owned by a different alliance entirely. A series of delicate and quiet messages were dispatched to probe for information on the situation.
The grind was done, but questions remained. Would the system’s owners show up for the timer? Would the SBU owners show up to thwart our efforts – if only to collect the tears? Would other locals put up resistance or try to ninja the system?
Come together
Jabber pings and mails went out to the alliance advertising fleets for the coming timers. The ihub came out of reinforcement early Monday morning, the station timer luckily came out right around PFR's late-EU/early-US primetime.
Recruitment surged on the heels of our early victories, and the Etherium Reach locals began to express interest in – if not outright support for – our actions. This pocket of Etherium Reach, as it turns out, has been all but abandoned by its nullsec “owners.” The only pilots in system were ever PFR crusaders or sovless third parties basing out of nearby lowsec systems. As much fun as shooting each other in the face had been, it became clear our true existential threat was the shadow to the east – absentee landlords who had “bought” the region from its prior owners, but were nowhere to be found except the dotlan maps.
Chat channels and TeamSpeak servers came to life with introductions. Conversations turned to talk of a common enemy.
Danger close
Monday morning, we made short work of the ihub and were met little resistance. When the time for the final op Monday night, PFR saw its heaviest showing yet: more than 50 members were in our voice coms, despite us being a band of strangers who could barely form 10 moas a week ago. In total over 70 pilots (some of whom rushed to our aid and received blue standings just minutes before the battle) streamed into CT8K-0 to flip the station and grind down the hostile TCU. Speed is always important for such ops, but we were racing to finish before anybody had a chance to turn off the SBUs and render the system temporarily invulnerable. If they had wanted to, they could have the moment the timers ended. The longer we took, the more risk we had of having sand kicked in our face.
Wasting no time, the glorious crusade fleet opened fire on the station. We formed bombers, catalysts, a few special snowflakes, and a guy in a raven. I still don’t understand that, but it was awesome. 10 points to the guy who brought a raven to a structure shoot deep in hostile territory.
After a relatively short grind (Phoebe significantly lowered the EHP of many sov structures, including stations and SBUs), our targets were reduced to kill mails. Triumphant, we prepared to online a TCU of our own.
We’ll be back after this short interruption from sov mechanics
So, hahahaha, remember those SBUs that we didn’t own? Well, as we well know, you can’t online a TCU in a system with SBUs onlined, but the only way to offline the SBUs we didn't own was... more grinding. And so the celebrating crusaders polished their F1 keys, warped to the first gate, and continued the grind.
At last, the SBUs fell and our TCU was anchored within triage range of the station (because we totally have carriers, and can totally get them through all of the gates and/or half dozen+ cyno jumps needed to move into null), and 8 hours of onlining time were put on the clock. The crusade fleet went to shoot some nearby targets, and watchful eyes were set around the station and TCU.
TCU CTA
About an hour into the TCU timer ticking, two Tristans – at least one of which with a GSF pilot – warped in and opened fire. Grrrr goons. We ignored them.
An hour after that, a true threat arrived in the form of a Serenity Initiative maller fleet. By then it was late enough Monday that our numbers couldn’t realistically repel them, and they happily sat on the TCU tearing into its shields.
The mallers could chew through the TCU well before its 8 hour online timer was finished, but they seemed more interested in a fight than flipping the system. We formed what we could: moas and scythes engaged outnumbered in an effort stall, and once again our focus turned out of necessity to guerilla sov warfare. Blockade runners, POS modules, and corporation leaders flooded the system (as only one TCU can online in a system per corporation) alongside our moas. As the second and third TCU began to online for Phoebe Freeport Republic, our moa fleet sustained enough losses to force a switch to hit and run bombers. Every time our moas were driven away, the maller fleet snapped back to place in orbit around our slowly melting TCU.
None of our efforts, of course, would have stopped a fleet of capitals. But dropping them would expose them to significant risk, and – for most parties in the region – be a logistical nightmare. As with all of EVE, our fate depended on somebody with a hammer deciding to swing it somewhere else, but we were out of time and out of options. Hours into the engagement, we managed to produce four onlining TCUs and several amusingly well-defended POSes on top of waves of harassing bombers and ECM ships.
Exhausted and down to our last pilots, the enemy’s will finally broke. With just an hour left before the first TCU went online, the maller fleet disengaged and left the system.
Freeport One
As downtime loomed, our mortally wounded TCU flickered to life. With our control over the system complete, we immediately opened docking privileges to all of New Eden (...for a price). Less than a week after the patch hit, Phoebe Freeport Republic placed a welcome sign in the window of its first freeport.
Terms and conditions
Docking for blues, corporation members, and allies is free. Docking for neutrals costs 10 isk per m3, and docking for hostiles have the cost multiplied by 10 times their negative standing. That comes to around 5 million isk to dock a neutral (0.0 standings) battleship and billions of isk to dock a hostile (-10.0 standings) capital. I think. Lol. Please feel free to complain about it “not being a freeport” in the comments. Fee may be lowered later if this seems unworkable.
Our propaganda sucks less now: And we're not even shitting /r/eve up with it multiple times per day! Check it out.
Want to know more? Check out our subreddit, http://www.reddit.com/r/PhoebeCrusadeWarRoom.
Ready to join the crusade? Our sub's sidebar has info on joining up. Join our public channel, talk to a recruiter, send an application to the corporation. Corporations looking to join the alliance should contact Tarus Slothenstein.
We’re really, really broke Sov is tragicomically expensive. We claimed one tech moon (only took two tries!) and have some docking fees and ratting taxes flowing in, but I think our alliance has earned like 100 million or so isk total. Yeah. I hate to sound like a guy in a santa costume ringing a bell, but we’re running on fumes here.
If you want to fund more misadventure and after action reports, we would be eternally grateful for any isk you can spare. Please send it to the corporation Dutch East Querious Company or character Coelomate.

Black Core Alliance Lose Station Egg in Querious
On Nov. 11th, a station egg was lost in the Querious region. This was apparently the work of a small contingent of CFC pilots known as the "Reavers". Who've been operating in N3 space for a while as a smash and grab guerrilla force. However, this is still speculative as no one has officially confirmed their existence.
As this station egg has been destroyed it would make it the 6th one ever destroyed in EVE’s history. The egg was attacked near downtime, by CFC forces, and as the fight progressed, PL forces (who are blue to the egg owning entity Black Core Alliance) arrived with an Ishtar fleet to defend the egg.
Their efforts were in vain as the egg was destroyed of course. PL appeared to get bored and left before the egg was destroyed, allowing the CFC to once again resume shooting it. At this time shortly after downtime, the egg had hit a low of 27% structure.
There are also reports that HERO had also been on field shooting the egg for a short time.
This op was ultimately the work of a spy in BCA. Which should impart a valuable lesson to all, opsec is kind of important.

Providence Bloc Loses Another Skirmish Over the D-GTMI System
NC. took the system in May to facilitate rapid fleet deployment across it's rental holdings and the Delve region. Thsi was originalyl part of a plan to take Delve by force, but was largely abandoned due to the force projection changes of Phoebe.
ProviBloc used this chaotic time after the patch to launch and op against the system, deploying SBUs on Nov. 4th. reinforcing both the Infrastructure Hub and the Station, in order to reclaim the lost system. While sources within Northern Coalition(dot) claimed the system held no strategic importance anymore, they did say that the Alliance would form for convenient timers.
D-GTMI system, Providence region. On the 9th of November, 22:30 EVE Standard Time, Providence Bloc clashed with Northern Coalition(dot) to decide the fate of the system, which was lost to Providence earlier in May.
One such timer was on the 8th of November, 14:00 EVE Standard Time, when Providence Bloc’s Tengu Strategic Cruiser fleet, seventy pilot strong, engaged an Ishtar Heavy Assault Cruiser fleet belonging to Northern Coalition(dot), at sixty pilot large. The fight, mostly carried on the T-RPFU Gate, saw Providence Bloc lose decisively to Northern Coalition.
Battle Report for the 8th of November can be found here.
On the next night, the tables were turned. AS a 170 strong Ishtar fleet against 150 Tengu pilots of NC.. NC took position on the T-RPFU gate and waited for Provi. Provi however elected not to jump into the gate camp and tried to lure NC onto the opposite D-GTMI gate after deploying their fleet there.
NC. very quickly obliged the Provi forces. The resulting skirmish was very short lived. After a few opening kills against Tengus were scored while NC. organized, as soon as they anchored up, the tanks held firm and focused fire wiped considerable Provi forces from the field.
This was exacerbated by an 80 pilot PL Tengu fleet with bomber support that jumped in to join in the fun. This meant Provi very quickly retreated and conceded the system.
With Providence Bloc soundly defeated, Northern Coalition(dot) turned its attention to the Sovereignty Blockade Units deployed in the D-GTMI system and removed them, extracting safely.
Battle Report for the 9th of November can be found here.
The T-RPFU system hosted at the height of the battle four hundred and sixty pilots, with Time Dilation peaking at 72% but playing no major role in the fighting. Providence Bloc lost a quarter of its fleet, forty ships, for five billion ISK in damages, compared to Northern Coalition(dot)’s thirteen and two point six billion respectively.
Though the Infrastructure Hub was destroyed the day after, the fight over the sovereignty of the system is far from over. With the reputation of Providence Bloc and their recent success in the Northern Catch war, it is not so much a question of whether or not the system will be re-claimed, but what the price will be for its eventual return.

[Dev Blog] Sleeper Cache exploration sites & Polarized weapons ~CCP SoniClover
Hello Capsuleers! This is CCP SoniClover from EVE's Team Banana Stand dev team here to introduce new exploration content coming your way soon.
Were creating a few new exploration sites that are aimed at experienced explorers. Weve wanted to do these ever since the Odyssey release last year, as we didnt find time then to add high-end content to supplement the adjusted probe scanning mechanics. But we found the opportunity now and are happy to be finally able to add it.
Search and ye shall find
So what are these new sites? The backstory of them is that theyre storage sites created by Sleepers. The Sleepers have always been interested in collecting items of curiosity and have done so in secret throughout known space for years. But they havent always been able or willing to cart the items they collect back to their wormhole enclaves and have instead deposited them in storage sites. To keep their collections hidden from the prying eyes of enterprising pilots, the Sleepers used highly advanced cloaking technology to obscure the sites.
Recently the cloaking mechanisms have started to malfunction and the sites are becoming visible. Why this is happening is unknown at the moment, but seems caused by heavy-handed scavenging by someone or something.
Despite the faulty cloaking mechanisms, these sites are still very hard to track down.
We will be delivering three sites in total. The first of these, called Limited Sleeper Caches were introduced with Phoebe 1.3 on November 11th, while the other two, (Standard Sleeper Caches and Superior Sleeper Caches), are coming in the Rhea release on December 9th. The Limited version is the smallest of the lot, and easiest to find, though it is still harder to scan down than any existing hidden site. The Superior version will require a very dedicated, well equipped and highly skilled explorer to find.
All the sites will be distributed throughout known space, in all security bandwidths. In high-sec, you are more likely to find the Limited version than the larger versions, while in Null-Sec it is vice versa. All these sites are very rare though, so finding one is not common place.
The Sleepers placed their storage sites as much out of the way as they could to minimize the chance of accidental discovery. This means the sites are most often found on the outskirts of solar systems.
Its pretty from afar
These new sites are exploration sites that require both hacking and archaeology to complete. Each of the sites has numerous containers requiring either a Data Analyzer or a Relic Analyzer - sometimes to get loot and sometimes to trigger events to affect the sites in some way.

The sites offer a variety of dangers. There can be environmental damage, where objects, clouds, etc. in the area damage you if you move to close to them. There can also be various kind of triggered damage; in the larger sites Sentries can appear (although you are never required to fight them to complete the site). Environmental damage can be very dangerous as it can actually destroy your capsule as well as your ship.
Another factor were going for is adding puzzle-like elements to exploring these sites. You have to figure out the best interaction order for each site, there are some timed elements, navigating correctly can be important and so on. Unfortunately, the current content tools we have to build them do not allow for a huge amount of variance, though there are random elements here and there to keep you on your toes.
The Limited site will be for frigate-sized ships only, but the other two will be for any type of ship. The reason for restricting the Limited one is that it relies heavily on environmental damage and scaling that type of damage dynamically based on ship size is troublesome. So either the site would have to be completely lethal for small ships or trivial to do for larger ships. The other sites will focus more on giving smaller ships a different route than larger ships, thus allowing them to bypass damage aimed at larger ships.
I'm just here for the phat lewts
So what kind of loot can you expect to find in these sites? Well, the Sleepers have of course been using this as dumping grounds for all kinds of items theyve collected throughout the years, in addition to storing their own stuff. So a wide-variety of items can drop, ranging from Sleeper blue loot to named modules to Cosmos blueprints and ingredients. Research-based items and skill books can also be found.
In addition, weve created a new set of modules to spice things up a little bit. The new modules in question are weapons that offer very strong primary stats, but that completely nerf your resistance while fitted. Using the term Polarized, they exist in small, medium and large versions for all the main weapon groups, 12 of them in total. They are based on the short range version of the weapons (pulse, blaster, etc.). The reason for this is that we did not want these weapons to be used for sniping too easily.
The Polarized weapons have their stats based on the Tech II version (for instance Polarized 200mm AutoCannon is based on 200mm AutoCannon II), with the following adjustments:
- Damage Multiplier is the same (this is to reduce their effectiveness as gank weapons)
- Rate of Fire is +20% (i.e. they should 20% faster, resulting in ca. +25% damage)
- Tracking speed is +15%
- Range and Falloff is -20% (you need to get up close and personal to your target)
- Cap Use is -25% (mostly to accommodate the increased RoF)
- Fitting (CPU and Power Grid requirements) is approximately -10%
- Capacity for the ones requiring charges is +200% (i.e. you can fit three times as much ammo/missiles)
- The modules are Tech II, meta-level 9 modules. They thus have the same skill requirements as Tech II, but they also benefit from the specialization skills. They require their Tech II counterpart to manufacture
- The price of those weapons should make them not a feasible choice for suicide ganking but only just so, so that their price does not dictate their use too much. This will likely require some future adjustments to drop rate and bill of materials
- They have the Sleeper's shader to distinguish them visually
- And to restate, when fitted all resistance are set to 0 and cant be raisedby other means
In creating these modules were using the same philosophy as we did when creating the modules in the Inferno expansion: they should offer a new tactical niche that supplements rather than replaces existing ones. While the Inferno modules were a bit hit-and-miss, the more successful ones like the Ancillary modules and the Micro Jump Drive succeeded in creating new tactical elements without obsoleting existing modules. It would be easy to make modules that were just strictly more powerful than existing stuff, but were trying to avoid starting down the road of power creep that design would result in. We expect the Polarized weapons will lead to fun, but minor, shifts in EVE's complex tactical metagame and that pilots will experiment with them and find some cool, niche uses for them. We do not anticipate or desire these weapons to become a stable in every fight everywhere.
Well, thats it for now. The Limited Sleeper Cache site and the Polarized weapons are already live on Tranquility for you to explore. Look out for the Standard and Superior Sleeper Cache sites to hit the test server Singularity in the next few weeks and start appearing on Tranquility in the Rhea release on December 9th.
Now, go explore!

PL and HERO continue their slapfighting
November 10 in the system of B-3QPD, PL and HERO scuffled over an I-Hub armor timer in the system. This marks yet another large-scale engagement in the hostilities between HERO and PL that truly began in earnest with the battle in U-QVWD which PL claimed the system for themselves.
This most recent engagement saw the deployment of a sizable HERO mixed defensive fleet engage first with PL subcaps, which really came down to a stalemate after several hours. Mostly due to the cohesion of HERO forces and the lack of overwhelming force on the side of PL.
Even though throughout the length of this engagement, HERO lost more in terms of numbers, the stake of the fight at the loss of another system seemed to steel their determination to stop PL from popping the hub.
After holding the line for a considerable length of time, PL brought in T3 supported by triage assets to try and tip the balance. This was again met with considerable resistance from HERO. The coordination of logi from HERO acted as a powerful anchor for their forces that kept their weaker pilots in the fight, and allowed them to buy more time to hold PL at bay.
PL then took a serious hit when many of it's T3s were hit with sensor dampening from HERO. Who planned their compositions well enough to nullify much of PLs advantage. This brought an even more crushing standstill to the fight as PL lost it's triage.
The inevitable response of PL supercaps was slow to materialize, blamed mostly on Phoebe force projection changes combined with extremely effective bubbling by HERO support forces, and as a result by the time PL landed it's super cleanup crew on field, HERO had already evac'd.
